We met at a youth conference in the summer of 1998—10 years ago, when Jesh’s family was visiting from Utah. Our first date was a couple months later when he was up for Christmas break. We did the long distance thing on and off for a time. Finally after Jesh’s mission we were able to be in the same place for more than a week or a weekend. We rekindled our love and here we are. A house and two kids later!

We bought a home about three years ago and are still trying to finish everything. The back yard is done and now are working on moola for the basement. Right now it’s just a giant storage area, a laundry facility, and Jesh’s office.

Jesh works from home for a company based out of New York. He loves his job, especially the 30 second commute down the stairs. He also has a job at the local college teaching graphic design. Occasionally he has some freelance work too. He is a very busy guy! Brooke is really glad he works from home because she is able to see him a lot more.

Brooke is finally a stay at home mom—her dream job. Not to say it has been like a dream, but she wouldn’t trade it for anything. She loves her kids and is so glad to be able to devote herself to them.
