Antelope Island

In march, we took a day trip with some friends to Antelope Island. It was actually a really good time to go. I've heard Antelope Island is super stinky and super hot in the summer. We had a good time.

Christian loves little kids. He insisted on hold our friends little boys hand most of the time.

I'm demonstrating the mad skills necessary to rope a stationary wooden cow to my son. The cow got away.

Really loud bell

Buffalo- I think they should call it Buffalo Island. We saw a lot more of those.
Running to check out the water
The shoreline was lined with really flat rock that were great for skipping.

Thanks for the fun day!

Our 3rd Annual Good-Bye Stupid February Party!

Just a party to celebrate winter being closer to over. Or just an excuse to get together! Sadly we are missing the co-founder, Mandy. She had her own party in Coeur d'Alene.
My husband made this fantastic sign. He is so much more creative then I am !

I am super sad that this being posted 6 months late.... but thats what happens when your a terrible blogger.

Since my parents, brother and his family, and my other brother's kids were in town for the mini reunion, I thought it would be fun to celebrate Collins birthday with everyone. We added Collin's cousin Conner to the birthday fun since their birthdays are exactly a month apart.

Collin loves loves loves trains. I thought Collin would love a train ride for his birthday. Instead of forking out the big bucks for a real train ride hours away, we settled for a train in a near by mall.
Waiting for the train
Here it comes!
My cute boys!

Look at that smile! Melts my heart.
He loved it! And did not want to get off.

Last minute mini reunion!

My dad a work conference in Salt lake this last February. My parents thought that since they were going to be in town for a while it might be nice to see some of our relatives in the area. So I started to plan a dinner and I had plan to have it at my house. I figured some people would come and my house was big enough. After getting a finally count of 60 to 75 people coming, I decided to try to get the gym at a near by church building. I decided to do Cafe Rio pork pulled salad and burritos. Since most of the relatives would be coming from a couple hours away I had them bring toppings and dessert, and was going to provide the hot stuff. I have never cooked food for more then 10 people. So I ended up making way way to much food. I could have feed twice as many people. So I ended up sending food home with relatives. And we had burritos and salads for a week.

It was fun to see my family. I normally only see them once a year at our reunion. The adults ate and the kids attempted eating but mostly they ran around the gym. We chatted and played games. The event really turned out fun. If I do it again, it will be a potluck and on a Saturday so people aren't rushing from work.

Clean up!

Cooking Classes

On the special and rare occasion when we could find a babysitter this last winter, Jesh and I would try to go to a cooking class. It was so fun! And relatively cheap. And we got to learn how to make yummy stuff and eat it too! The above pictures were taken on my cell phone, and may not look that appetizing. But the food was super yum!
