Carving
We decided to let Christian draw on his pumpkin in hopes that there would be some shapes or something that resembled a face on it we could cut out. No such luck but we did what we could with it. Jesh did his usual "something different." He found a huge whitey pumpkin and made a face on it that looks like giant lips to me but he says it is a nose, mouth, and chin. What do you think it is? For mine I did my typical, a smiley face. For Collins, Jesh tried to make it look like him, big smile and big eyes. I think he did an excellent job. Except I accidentally broke the pupils out of the eyes. We tried to put them back in but it just wasn't the same. Collin had a little run in with a dancing Frankenstein.... he was just a little creeped out.
Pumpkin Pickin
Every year we set out for Carvers farm to pick out our pumpkins. This year pumpkin picking was really fun because Christian was a little more into it. I think he remembered doing last year so he knew exactly what to do. The event was a little disappointing because most of the pumpkins were rotting. The freezing temperatures at night have really taken a toll on the pumpkins.
Air Hockey with cousin Carson
A couple weekends ago, I decided to go to Boise with my parents and my kids. We left late Friday afternoon and didn't get there until very late that night and we left early Sunday afternoon. It was fun to see my family but I don't think the car ride was worth it for as little time we spent there. Plus I was husband less so that wasn't much fun. Christian and Carson decided to be like the big boys and play some air hockey. They brought over two ottomans to be tall enough. Not knowing how to turn the air on, they ended up climbing all over the table to get the puck to move around. We helped them out and turned it on. These two had so much fun together. Man I wish we could live closer to our cousins.

In "tents"
Yesterday Christian asked if we could go camping when he said "Wanna go in tents." We couldn't go camping so I pulled out his tent for him to play with. He hung out inside it all day. He ate, colored, and even slept in it through the night until about 5am when he couldn't go back to sleep. I think the nylon tent-floor is a little loud for nite-nites, so I put him back in his bed.

Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
Rachel and I decided to get together with some friends from high school. We thought that soup would be yummy with all the cold weather moving in. My mom used to make some of the best homemade chicken noodle soup. Everything was homemade down to the noodles and broth. So Rachel and I thought we would give it a whirl. Mixed with homemade bread, I thought it turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself. I wasn't disappointed. Hopefully everyone else felt the same. :) I must admit that Rachel did all the dirty work. She worked with the raw chicken and she hand mixed the dough and she de-boned the chicken. I promise I helped. And I made the bread.
